"I am a little bit weird because I'd rather knit an XXXL sweater than a pair of socks or a scarf! I also like wearing what I knit, so I finally broke down and started knitting swatches and altering my patterns to fit. But I really, really get the whole 'I just want to knit' and 'I hate math' thing. After all, math is not fun for everybody, and knitting should always be fun. My new Made-to-Measure pattern series now makes it possible for anybody to knit (and wear) a sweater that fits. Combined with my Elemental Affects Cormo yarn we are using in this class, you'll not only end up with a sweater that fits, but also learn why 'yarn matters.'
"Partnering with 3 Kittens is always fun for me, and our Made-to-Measure/Elemental Affects Cormo weekend will be great fun for everyone who attends! Join us to learn you best style choices (Friday night's 'What Not to Knit'), and then we'll apply what we learned about personal style to choosing your best MTM pattern, select style options, take measurements, and get started knitting your next 'sweater that fits!' While we knit together, we'll also be spending time on each technique introduced in the pattern - including practicing seams on swatches."

Join us for an evening with Jeane deCoster of Elemental Affects. Former fashion model Jeane will help you figure out what the right fit is for your body!
It turns out there’s more to making a sweater fit than just knitting a swatch and taking an accurate bust measurement. Let’s get together and pool what we already know about shopping for ready-made clothing and learn how to “shop” for your next knitting project. The first steps of “fit” is choosing your pattern and knowing what to change to make it work for you.
Learn by doing and join us Friday evening for this personal styling event. The evening is a combination of learning more about your own style and learning how to see your hand-knits as part of your whole look.
Bring a favorite sweater (or jacket) that you wear frequently. And, if you’re feeling wild, bring something you own but hate to wear. We’ll also have an assortment of hand-knits from the Made-to-Measure pattern line.
Enjoy specials, wine, and hors d'oeuvres!
